The Ashley Madison Story

I would like to share my thoughts about the Ashely Madison Story.

The Ashely Madison Story is about an online dating site targeted to and for married people to have an affair. My thoughts are not about the morality of affairs but with the man behind the company, Noel Biderman.

About Noel Biderman which is taken from his website.

Noel Biderman was appointed President of Avid Life Media Inc. in 2007. Before joining the Avid team, Noel was the Chief Operating Officer of the Magnolia Stone Corporation, the former operators of When was sold to Avid Life Media, Biderman followed the brand and became President of the new parent company.

Under his leadership, has become the fastest growing married dating website in the world – realizing over 300% growth since his insertion as company President. In recognition of his contributions to the company’s tremendous success to date, he was appointed President & CEO in mid-2010.

Prior to entering the world of online infidelity, Noel Biderman worked as a sports attorney with Interperformances Inc., one of Europe and North America’s largest sports management firms. There, he managed 45 athletes around the globe while acting as the Managing Director of the company’s Canadian operations.

Recognizing a future in the digital world, Noel changed career paths and began a distinguished career with Homestore Inc. (Now Nasdaq: MOVE), where he not only extended the U.S. business model for into the Canadian market, but where he also headed up the development and creation of, an international and multi-lingual site representing 26 different and diverse real estate associations around the globe.

As the face of, Noel has often been referred to as “The King of Infidelity.” He even published a book called Cheaters Prosper: How Infidelity Will Save The Modern Marriage. In truth, he is a family man who is happily married with two children.

Noel holds a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School and currently lives in Toronto, Ontario.

It is obvious that this man is intelligent, and successful. What I find intriguing and has me curious is the contradiction in the above statement … “In truth, he is a family man who is happily married with two children.”

When you live a life of integrity (wholeness) which means what you Value + Needs = integrity.

This article states that Noel Biderman values “family”. Which is beautiful, if that is the truth?

What he does for a living is a contradiction to that value, and you are no longer living a life of integrity. Hence, the inevitable fall of his fortune!

In watching his TEDtalks, you can see it is all about business, filling a market niche. There was no question about whether or not we should, because it goes against my values.

Live a life of integrity (wholeness), in your personal life and in your business life.
